3 Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek is obtained by the slow maceration of locally hand-picked full Schaarbeekse cherries on traditional lambic, without the addition of juices, syrups or sugars. This unfiltered and unpasteurized lambic reflects the true essence of craftsmanship.

For this Schaerbeek Kriek, they macerated freshly picked local Schaarbeek cherries on two-year-old lambic in a small foeder for almost twelve months. To complete the fine fruit lambic, some young lambic was added during blending. The weighted average age at bottling is over twenty months. The final fruit share is 372 grams of Schaarbeekse Kriek per liter of finished Schaarbeekse Kriek, and more than 80% of the grains used in brewing come from their own Grain Network. This makes it an authentic and high-quality representation of the region.
