Brasserie de Blaugies
Brasserie de Blaugies was founded in 1988 by Pierre-Alex Carlier and Marie-Noëlle Pourtois. At a time when craft beer was gaining popularity in Belgium, they enthusiastically decided to start their own brewery. In the garages of the family home, they installed a "Meura" brewhouse, which allowed them to produce batches of 750 litres every day.
Over the years, the brewery has grown into an established name in the craft beer world. Brasserie de Blaugies now brews eight characterful beers, all unfiltered and refermented in the bottle or keg - a method that guarantees authentic flavours and quality, true to tradition.
In 2000, Pierre-Alex and Marie-Noëlle passed the torch to their sons. Kévin took over the management of the brewery and invested in a new production facility next to the original site in 2018. The modern brewhouse with Meura filter now makes it possible to brew 3,000 litres of beer four times a day.
Cédric, the other son, founded the restaurant Le Fourquet, located opposite the brewery. He will soon be expanding his business with a six-room hotel, so that visitors can enjoy the warm welcome and local gastronomy even more intensely.
Today, Brasserie de Blaugies is a thriving family business that combines tradition, quality and a passion for beer. They welcome beer lovers from all over the world with open arms and are happy to share their craft and regional dishes.
