The 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriekenlambik 16/17 in 37.5 cl is a special creation that has macerated for 6.5 months. This Oude Kriek is made by macerating hand-picked, whole sour cherries on young lambic for at least four months, at a ratio of one kilogram of fruit per liter of lambic. After maceration, the kriek lambic is mixed again with more young lambic to ensure a minimum fruit intensity of 35%, after which it is immediately bottled.

The bottles are then stored in the cellars for at least five months, so that the Kriek lambic can develop into a beautiful, traditional and refined Oude Kriek. This lambic has a pleasant sourness and shows organic notes of almond and cinnamon as it warms in the glass. Although the 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek can ripen perfectly, it can also lose some of its vibrant red colors and forest fruit aromas.

This unfiltered and unpasteurized beer is completely natural, with no added artificial juices, syrups or sugars. Traditional lambic is a living cultural heritage, deeply rooted in the Senne Valley.
