Brouwerij Jopen
In 1994, the city of Haarlem celebrated its 750th anniversary. To celebrate this, people are looking for beer recipes in the city archives. This is how Haarlem Beer is reintroduced.
With Hoppenbier from 1501 we usher in the festive year on November 11, 1994. And so the Jopen brewery, named after beer barrels, was born.
Since 2010, the brewery has been located in a former Jacobskerk and is called the Jopenkerk. A brewery with café and restaurant in the heart of Haarlem.
Jopen is growing strongly and a new, modern bottling line is put into use in the Waarderpolder in Haarlem. In doing so, they open the Jopen Tap Room.
