Hades, an Imperial Stout, is a powerful beer of 10% ABV made with a blend of five different malts. We aged the beer in vanilla extract and added several kilos of coconuts to create a delicious aroma of malt and vanilla. The taste is a full, malty start, with a slightly bitter aftertaste and hints of coffee and roastedness.
The label depicts Hades, the lord of the underworld from Greek mythology, enjoying a Hades beer. Charon, Hades' ferryman, who transports the souls of the recently deceased across the rivers Styx, is shown bringing Hades some barrels of ale. The scene is completed by Cerberus, the monstrous three-headed watchdog of Hades.
