Brouwerij Lupus - Wolf
After a visit to the Achouffe Brewery, Peter Van der Borght became fascinated with brewing and started experimenting with a starter kit.
In 2008 he started Brouwerij Lupus in Begijnendijk with 3 partners. The name means wolf in Latin and also refers to Humulus Lupulus, the Latin name for the beer ingredient hops.
The beers with a howling wolf on the label were launched in 2009.
Brouwerij Lupus was a beer company and had their beer brewed at Microbrouwerij Achilles.
In 2010 they took over the brewing installation of Achilles Van de Moer and started brewing themselves.
Afterwards they changed the name to Brouwerij Wolf.
