Estrella Damn
The brewery was founded in 1876 by French cousins August Kuentzmann Damm and Joseph Damm. They had fled France four years earlier following the Franco-Prussian War
The first beer the company produces is called Strasburger. In 1905 they open a brewery called 'La Bohemia'.
In 1954, Damm takes a majority interest in the La Moravia malt house and in 1973 the brewer takes over the malt house in its entirety. Today, Damm is the only Spanish brewer to have its own malt house.
The main beer, called Estrella Dorada (golden star) since 1921, changed its name in 1992 and has since been called Estrella Damm.
