Brasserie Du Bocq

In 1858, Martin Belot brewed beer for the first time in a barn on his farm in Purnode. At first he only made beer in the winter, when there was little work in the fields, but this quickly expanded to a wide range.

Initially the brewery was called Brasserie Belot Frères et Soeur. In 1925, the name was changed to Brasserie Belot Frères under the leadership of grandson Victor, who in turn passed the torch to his son Joseph Belot in 1942, then already under the name 'Brasserie du Bocq'.

In 2015, the Keersmaekers family (owner of the Corsendonk brewery), who had already owned shares since 2010, took over the du Bocq brewery.
