Brouwerij Girardin
The Girardin Brewery traces its origins back to Franciscus-Alexius Girardin, the patriarch of the family. At a time when farm breweries were still common, the brewery was founded in 1882.
It is remarkable that the old brewery hall, which was brought from Wallonia by horse and cart, is still in use today. In 1990, a new brewery was built next to the farm, which came from Bernkastel-Kues on the Moselle. This was dismantled by hand and then rebuilt at its current location.
Since 2012, the farm-brewery has been run by great-grandson Paul and his wife Heidi, who continue the family tradition.
