Brewingfox

Twelve years ago, Mechelen resident Jef Meynen and Patrick Vossen founded the non-profit organisation Vossen met de Meynen, with the aim of supporting charities – in particular research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This hereditary muscular disease, which mainly affects boys, gradually affects the muscles and causes serious weakness.

After years of dedication, Patrick indicated that he had had enough and that he wanted to quit. “I wanted to continue, but the idea of ​​having to do everything on my own didn’t appeal to me,” says Jef.

At that point, entrepreneur Paul Van Coillie, owner of Arco and a good customer of Jef, enthusiastically joined the story. Together they founded Brewingfox – a new initiative with a fresh look, designed by Jef’s son.

Luc Katra, chairman of basketball club Kangoeroes, also joined as a third partner. “We definitely want to continue to make a positive impact with Brewingfox. Of course it can yield something, but it is at least as important to us that we can continue to donate to charity,” Jef emphasizes.
