Boon Oude Geuze Black Label N°6 is a wonderful example of the craftsmanship of Brouwerij Boon, located in the heart of Lambiekland, Lembeek. This gueuze is a carefully crafted blend of one-, two-, and three-year-old lambics, matured in traditional oak barrels, with an alcohol content of 7%. The result is a dry and complex gueuze with a full body, resulting from the almost complete fermentation of the sugars.

The taste of N°6 is a harmonious combination of subtle acidic notes, interwoven with fresh hints of green apple and grapefruit, leading to a velvety-smooth attack and a bone-dry finish. Each sip invites the next, revealing a rich, layered taste experience that is both complex and elegant.

Since 2015, Brouwerij Boon has released a new edition of Black Label every year, each with a unique blend profile. While each edition has its own character, they all share the characteristic full-bodied taste and refined dry finish that make this series so special.

The first Black Label was introduced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Brouwerij Boon. For this special series, the brewery selects only lambics with the highest attenuation, in which almost all fermentable sugars have been converted. Before leaving the brewery, the Black Label matures for at least a year in the cool cellars, allowing it to fully develop its complex character and dry finish.

Thanks to this high attenuation, the Oude Geuze Boon Black Label is extra dry, while the wild yeasts ensure a full-bodied and layered flavor. Because each edition is subtly different, Brouwerij Boon continues to offer a surprising and unique taste adventure every year with the Black Label.
