The Golden Doesjel from 3 Fonteinen is a unique blend of lambic of different ages: one, two, three and four years old. This lambic was first bottled in 2012, with a second batch bottled in May 2013 and released in 2014. The name "Doesjel" comes from the fact that the wild yeasts did not do what they were supposed to do: the refermentation in the bottle did not occur, resulting in the lack of carbon dioxide and foam when pouring. The word "doesjel" means "lazy" or "dozed off" in the local dialect.

Visually, the Golden Doesjel has a beautiful ocher color, which makes the beer attractive. When smelling, a fresh sweet and sour nose emerges, with aromas of apple and citrus. There are also hints of rosé wine, with a subtle background of stable scent and oak, which gives the beer an interesting complexity.

Because the carbon dioxide is missing, the beer does indeed feel flat. Yet the slightly sour and freshly sweet fruit flavors ensure that the beer is easy to drink, with a drying effect towards the end. The aftertaste is pleasant and again shows a hint of wood, which contributes to the layering of the taste.
