To celebrate the 2025 holidays, Trappist Brewery De Kievit proudly presents a special edition of their Zundert 10th Quadrupel Trappist. This rich, dark beer is brewed with care, dedication, and tranquility within the walls of Maria Toevlucht Abbey, in the spirit of Trappist life: simplicity, thoughtfulness, and an eye for quality.

Zundert 10° is a beer that invites you to reflect on life's small and precious moments. The complex layers of flavors and warm aromas make it perfect for sharing with loved ones, or enjoying quietly by the fire.

In 2023, the brewery celebrated its tenth anniversary with the introduction of a special 75cl anniversary bottle of this Quadrupel. For this occasion, the brewery collaborated with artist Anne Geene, who designed a work of art depicting the sweet gale plant specifically for Zundert. This image – subtle and symbolic – has adorned the packaging ever since, reflecting the close bond between the brewery and its natural environment.

The bog myrtle (Myrica gale) has grown in the vicinity of the abbey for centuries and is one of the characteristic flavors of Zundert 10°. Its spicy, resinous aromas give the beer a recognizable depth and connect it, both literally and figuratively, with the earth on which it was born.
