De Cam Wild Blueberry is a distinctive and authentic fruit lambic that is entirely dedicated to the wild blueberry. These berries grow freely in the deep, mossy forests of the Ardennes, where the cool climate and acidic forest soil create an exceptional concentration of flavor. The region around Vielsalm, in particular, enjoys a reputation for its abundance of wild blueberries and the many artisanal products that result from them.

For this lambic, De Cam uses only whole blueberries of the Vaccinium myrtillus species—no juice, no pulp, but the entire fruit with all its aromas, tannins, and colorants. The berries are added to young lambic at a generous rate of 40 kilograms per 100 liters. During maceration, the skins slowly break open, releasing their deep, woody, and distinct forest aromas into the lambic.

The result is a pure, natural beer that remains true to the traditional lambic style. The ingredient list is short and straightforward: wheat, barley malt, hops, and blueberries—unpasteurized, and without any artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors. It's all about spontaneous fermentation, oak aging, and the power of real fruit.

The aroma prominently features the fresh blueberry peel, complemented by a soft, earthy funk and subtle leathery notes that develop during natural fermentation in oak. The flavor is intense and layered: tart blueberry, a powerful wild-funk expression, vinous complexity, and a distinct note of old oak. The lambic presents itself cool and dry, with a distinctly wild, almost rustic charm.
