3 Fonteinen ZYF3 Blend 21 17/18 is a special Sherry Barrel Aged Lambic blend, consisting of lambics of one, two and three years old. These lambics have matured in Oloroso, Fino and Amontillado barrels, resulting in a weighted average age of 32 months at bottling. In addition to the typical sherry tones, one of the barrels used also added subtle peated characteristics to the blend.
The lambics used for this creation came from five different brews, with more than half of the volume brewed by 3 Fonteinen itself. Zenne y Frontera is an assembly of traditional lambics, further matured in old, authentic sherry casks. This results in a refined and complex beer that reflects the rich history of spontaneous fermentation and barrel maturation.
