Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of a careful selection by the Rodenbach brewmasters of the best casks after 2 years of maturation, awarding the beer from that cask as 'the best cask of the year'. The label always states the cask number, and the year indicates the start of maturation. Rodenbach Vintage consists of 100% old, matured beer, resulting in a sublime Rodenbach Grand Cru. The beer has a complex, round, intense and refreshing taste. Striking is the malic acid fruitiness in combination with caramel, wild honey, oak and hints of vanilla, cherry and licorice. The aroma has notes of caramel and oak, as well as hints of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The softly sour, fruity finish is long and beautifully balanced, comparable to a grand cru wine.
