Belgoo Brewery
Belgoo Brewery is a Belgian craft brewery located in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, in the Zenne Valley near Brussels. It was founded in 2007 by Jo Van Aert, a former marketeer with a great passion for beer. Inspired by a beer tasting in Bruges in 2006, he decided to start brewing himself. His goal: to make characterful beers with pronounced aromas, brewed in a traditional way and with an eye for quality.
What started as a one-man project has now grown into a small team of four, still true to the original vision. Belgoo specializes in top-fermented beers based on a mix of different grains, such as barley, wheat, spelt and oats. These unique grain combinations provide a rich body and complex flavor profiles.
The beers are generously cold hopped (dry hopping) with hops from all over the world, resulting in beers with a distinctive aroma and a fresh hoppy character. Belgoo offers a varied range of nine well-balanced beers, each with its own style and character. In addition, the brewery has also focused on brewing organic beers, always with attention to authenticity and craftsmanship.
