For this beer, lambic aged 16 to 18 months is blended with fresh Merlot grapes from the Bordeaux region (Côte de Bourg appellation). The grapes macerate in the lambic for about two months, giving the beer its deep burgundy color, vinous aromas, and the characteristic tannins of Merlot.
The result is a lambic with an intensely fruity character, a refined structure, and a long, elegant finish that unmistakably hints at its wine roots.
