The first Black Label was launched to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Brouwerij Boon. For this special series, only lambics with the highest attenuation are selected, in which almost all fermentable sugars have been converted. Before leaving the brewery, the Black Label matures for at least a year in the cool cellars, allowing the beer to fully develop its complex flavor and characteristic dryness.

Thanks to this high attenuation, the Oude Geuze Boon Black Label is extra dry, while the wild yeasts provide a layered, full-bodied flavor. Because each edition is subtly different, Brouwerij Boon continues to offer a surprising and unique taste adventure every year with the Black Label.
